Itinerary

 

1. day  | SATURDAY

Arrival at Opatija harbour to meet your crew. Lunch on board is followed by sightseeing of Opatija and a walk along the famous Franz Josef promenade – Lungo Mare. Evening at leisure to enjoy in the numerous cafes and restaurants in Opatija or in the fishermen’s village of Volosko.

2. day | SUNDAY

After breakfast walk along the seaside promenade to Lovran from where Our ship picks us up to take us to the island of love – Rab. Lunch and swim break on route. Overnight in the charming town of Rab well known by its four towers and astonishing architecture.

3. day | MONDAY

After breakfast we hike up to Straza (409m) to enjoy the breathtaking view of the mainland and the islands of Kvarner bay. Descend to the ship for lunch and cruise towards the magical island of Mali Losinj with possible stop for a swim in a protected bay. Evening at leisure with overnight in the largest town of all the Kvarner bay islands, Mali Losinj.

4. day  | TUESDAY

After breakfast we walk from Mali Losinj to the Sveti Ivan (234m) hill, and then in the direction of Veli Losinj for a swim / coffee break. This picturesque setting in the densely forested surrounding hills with its high old stone houses and gardens make it an impressive site. After a break we head back to Mali Losinj for another overnight.

5. day | WEDNESDAY

Morning cruise to the old town of Osor, situated  between the islands of Mali Losinj and Cres. Hiking route from Osor takes us uphill to the mountain cabin Osorcica (approx. 308m), where lunch is served. A glorious view stretches from Osorscica over Nerezine and Losinj, the open sea and the surrounding islands: Cres, Susak, Sarkane and Unije lay in the palm of your hand. Return to the ship and continue to Martinscica bay on Cres island for dinner and  overnight.

6. day | THURSDAY

After breakfast the cruise on longest and possibly most beautiful and colourful hiking tour. At first we climb up 280m to the village of Vidovici, then continue walking along drywalls alongside sheep towards a Pine forest to reach its peak Helm (482m). The route then continues to Lubenice village. After lunch – we continue to Valun a small port where the ship takes us to Cres for dinner and sleepover.

7. day | FRIDAY

Early morning cruise to Opatija from where we have a transfer to the top of Ucka mountain. The luscious plant carpet distinguishes the Natural preserve massif from the rest of the mountains along the coast –line. The forests of Ucka offer a pleasant freshness in the summer time, and the peak offers a unique view. Lunch break on the peak itself, followed by a descend to Opatija – the pearl of Adriatic. Sleepover Opatija.

8. day | SATURDAY

Dismemberment around 9 am, after breakfast.

SWIMMING BREAKS: In good weather and depending on timing we will have regular stops for swimming while the ship anchors in secluded bays approximately 20-30 meters from the beach or after the hike before departure to next island.

HIKING ROUTE: The length of the daily hiking routes is estimated and informative and depends of various detours or short cuts that can be done on route. Sailing and hiking routes may be changed on the spot due to weather conditions and capability of the respective hikers on board. Departure depends on the programme.

FOOD: Half board is served on board: continental breakfast and either lunch or dinner. During our hiking routes we will recommend stops at local restaurants where you can sample the local specialties. These meals are not included in the price of the trip but are paid by the customers. Also there is a possibility to book a captain’s dinner, which is paid directly on the spot and is offered by the captain and your tour guide.

Optional excursions

These excursions can be added to your booking in the final stage of your online reservation. If paying on the spot, only KUNA currency and cash is accepted. Prices are informative and subject to change.

PLITVICE LAKES (EUR 64.- per person) Visit the famous Plitvice Lakes, sixteen turquoise coloured lakes with crystal clear water connected by magnificent waterfalls. Pure nature, mountain forests and fresh air. One of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia, and a UNESCO site. A full day tour, starting early in the morning and returning just in time for dinner. One-day tour begins in the early morning hours (7:30 am) while the return is scheduled in the evening (approx. 7:00 pm, includes coach transfer, guide, entrance to the park with boat and train ride in the park); comfortable shoes recommended.

VENICE (EUR 74.- per person) Visit Venice, one of the most unique cities in the world. Take a walk along picturesque bridges and a gondola ride or just sip a Bellini cocktail at St. Marks square. Depart from Opatija in the early morning (06:00 am and transfer to Rovinj or Porec for a 3 hour ship transfer to Venice. Guided sightseeing tour of Venice. Afternoon return by ship  to Rovinj or Porec followed by coach transfer to Opatija; includes bus and boat ride, guided sightseeing; passport required.

RAB CAKE TASTING (from EUR 8.- per person) Many coastal places or islands in Croatia have their very own special indigenous dessert, mostly a cake, but none of them can track its history all the way back to 1177! In that year, according to the legend, the recipe for Rab cake was created by nuns in the monastery when catering to the visiting Pope. Listen to the story, enjoy the demonstration of how the cake is made and buy souvenirs to take back home with you.

A CATEGORY: air-conditioned salon, traditional wooden ships, cabins with private shower/toilet (3rd bed possible on request), mostly bunk beds.
ALL DECK CABINS ARE SITUATED ON MAIN AND TOP DECK! Under deck cabins are in the hull of the ship below the main deck.
